Toxic positivity is the excessive and ineffective over generalization of a happy and optimistic state. It takes away our permission to explore, to get messy, and most importantly to learn and to heal. All this from something considered positive. That’s why episode 08 of The Positively Living Podcast is about Toxic Positivity!

In this episode of The Positively Living Podcast, Valerie Friedlander and I are sharing the importance of reducing patterns of stress and anxiety and actionable steps you can take right now to overcome toxic positivity. We cover the following topics:

  • The excessive dose of positivity and why we as a society try to dole it out this way.
  • Cycles of change and how we can change confrontation to conversation.
  • How our perspective shapes us and how we see the world.

I hope you enjoy your time with Valerie as much as I have. Please be sure to find her online and download her free stress quiz, which is really a stress and personality quiz.
