Asking for help is a challenge for many of us, especially those of us that are givers. But while the reasons we deny ourselves may feel noble, the results can be problematic. This week, episode 185 of the Positively Living Podcast is about how to ask for help when you’re a giver!

In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, I share that while the message of giving over receiving is well intended, it may discourage asking for help. I also give you actionable and manageable steps to take right now to ask for help and feel good about doing so.

I cover the following topics:

  • Psychological reasons why we—especially those of us who are people pleasers and givers— struggle to ask for help.
  • Scientifically proven reasons why asking for help is to our benefit.
  • 5 tips to support you in asking for help.

If you are a giver, I honor you and your heart and thank you for making this world a better place. But I urge you to focus on receiving too, because both are essential.
