Decluttering the mind is as important, if not more so, than cleaning out a closet because our mental and physical spaces affect and reflect each other. This week, episode 140 of the Positively Living Podcast is about how to declutter your mind in one simple step!

In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, I’m sharing how physical clutter and mental clutter differ, yet directly link together and I give you the actionable steps to take right now to declutter your mind so you can declutter your life!

I cover the following topics:

  • Why we need to declutter our minds.
  • The ways that mental clutter can disguise itself as something useful, productive, or required.
  • How mental clutter isn’t inherently bad but causes problems due to volume.
  • My one simple step to decluttering your mind.
  • A bonus recommendation for decluttering your mind (physical decluttering).
  • Additional steps you can take depending on your sub-type of mental clutter.

Decluttering is removing from a current space what doesn’t fit, belong, or serve you. In order to declutter your mind properly, you need to identify the life you want to live, find what gets in the way of that, and figure out how to remove it.
