Assessments like Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies are the key to living a happier, more productive life. That’s because these types of assessments allow us to become more self-aware, letting us evaluate who we are and what we do, manage our emotions, align our behavior, and understand how others perceive us. Self-awareness also leads to finding self-acceptance, nurturing self-compassion, becoming clear on our limits and boundaries, and, as such, improving our productivity. This week, episode 181 of the Positively Living Podcast is about how to improve your productivity using the Four Tendencies!

In this episode, I’m sharing how you can use the Four Tendencies Assessment to better understand why you do (or don’t do) something and how unlocking this understanding can help you with self-mastery, influencing others to do things, reduce frustration and even improve relationships when you better understand yourself and others.

I cover the following topics:

  • An overview of each of the four tendencies in the context of what it means to be productive.
  • Using the most effective habit strategy for each type to help yourself and others optimize productivity.
  • Famous examples of characters that reflect each type.

Keep in mind that no assessment is foolproof and many aspects of your character come into play when you determine how you work best. The Four Tendencies Assessment is a jumping-off point that is especially good for helping you take action in a way that suits you best.
