Content Warning: Child Loss

I believe it is so important for us to normalize speaking about and embracing the many aspects of grief in our lives, which is why it is a recurring topic on this podcast. This week, episode 153 of the Positively Living Podcast is about coping with grief by giving back.

In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, my guest Lindsay Taylor shares her story of how her and her family were able to heal through giving back after the loss of her child as well as advice, support, and inspiration for those looking for an outlet for their grief.

Lindsay and I cover the following topics:

  • Lindsay’s story of losing her child unexpectedly.
  • The importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people through difficult times.
  • How Lindsay and her husband turned their tragedy into a way to give back and how that helped them cope with grief.
  • Choosing to live after tragedy, not just exist.
  • How giving back has changed for her over time.

Grief can show up in our lives in so many ways, not only the loss of a loved one but the loss of your hopes and dreams for the future. Allow yourself to grieve it all and consider how helping others can create an outlet for that grief.
