We are constantly plugged into our world through the handheld screens that tell us everything we need to know instantaneously. As a questioner and a researcher, I adore being in an information age but recognize the downsides. This constant flow of information you once found helpful can become harmful in certain situations and can snowball your stress and anxiety, never giving you a chance to catch a break. This means you have to create a break for yourself and disconnect. This week, episode 190 of the Positively Living Podcast is about 3 simple steps when you need a mental reset!

In this episode of the Positively Living Podcast, I share the importance of taking a step back to reflect on whether the things in our lives are supporting or sabotaging us and give you 3 actionable steps to take right now to disconnect, giving yourself a mental reset so you can come back better than before.

I cover the following topics:

  • Step 1: How to CLEAR (declutter) your mental space to remove the things constantly pulling at your attention.
  • Step 2: How you must CALM your body to claim your mind. Things like breathwork, meditation, and nervous system regulation, help you let go of the stress you’re holding onto (and might not realize).
  • Step 3: Why CARE is essential. Practicing self-care and prioritizing yourself, above everything else, is necessary for a reset and helpful for resilience.

There are endless ways you can perform a mental reset.Try not to get overwhelmed by all these options. Pick ONE thing from each step and try it to see what works for you.
